Parliament adopted an amendment to the state budget to cancel the salary increase for prosecutors

    The Verkhovna Rada supported the amendment canceling the 37% increase in prosecutors’ salaries. Deputies voted for amendments to the draft budget for 2025.

    On the initiative of Vladimir Tsabal, the parliament reduced the increase in prosecutors’ salaries and left the salary fund. at the 2024 level 242 votes for, – People’s Deputy Yaroslav Yurchyshyn wrote in Telegram.

    On October 28, the Rada Budget Committee approved the first reading of the Draft Budget for 2025.

    Deputies proposed that the government allocate 43.2 billion hryvnia of the road fund for the country’s defense needs. At least two billion hryvnia will be spent on mine clearance, and 4.8 billion will be spent on new passenger carriages.

    There was also an amendment to cancel the national cashback. At the same time, they decided to leave the increase in prosecutors’ salaries by 37% (almost 3 billion hryvnia). The Cabinet of Ministers should consider the draft with amendments this week.
