In Poland, a 48-year-old Ukrainian citizen died in police custody. The incident took place near the town of Kluczbork in Opole Voivodeship. RMF FM reported this on Wednesday, October 30.
It was mentioned that the Ukrainian came to work in one of the companies in the village of Krzywizna. The owner of the company called the police because of the man’s aggressive behavior.
When the police arrived at the scene, the Ukrainian citizen refused to identify himself and did not respond to their commands, although he spoke Polish. Law enforcement officers decided to take the man to the station to establish his identity, but he began to fight back.
“Law enforcement officers attempted to handcuff him and use various techniques, but the 48-year-old man suddenly lost consciousness,” the report said.
An ambulance called to the scene was unable to revive the man.
The prosecutor’s office began an investigation into the accidental killing. An autopsy will be performed, as well as toxicological and histopathological examination of the body of the deceased.
