Vulnerable groups of Ukrainians will be provided with additional assistance to purchase firewood or coal for heating their homes.
This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy after the signing of a Memorandum on ensuring payments for solid fuel for heating in winter. His government entered into a deal with the UN Refugee Agency. The program will be financed primarily from the state budget. Part of the amount – $30 million – will be provided by the UN.
It is planned to provide fuel to 500 thousand households that do not have access to central heating and do not use either gas or electricity to heat their premises. In particular, the program is designed for older people, families with children and people with disabilities.
The program is aimed at supporting households that do not have access to central heating and do not use gas or electricity to heat their premises. The amount of payments will be calculated individually, depending on the level of household income, the ministry said in a statement.
