Final exams in schools for students in grades 4, 9 and 11 will be canceled again in 2025, and applicants will take the NMT in four subjects, as they did this year.
On October 29, the Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis and in general bill No. 12053 regarding the state final certification and the 2025 admissions campaign. There were 258 votes in the hall for this decision.
This was announced by MP from the Servant of the People faction, deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation Sergei Koleboshin.
In 2025, the national multi-subject test will retain the structure of this year and will consist of four subjects – three compulsory: Ukrainian language, mathematics and history of Ukraine and one optional subject, the parliamentarian specified.
In addition, students in grades 4, 9 and 11 to obtain a certificate of achievement or a certificate of completion of basic or upper secondary education do not have to complete the GNA next year.
The Council made such a decision regarding the State Tax Administration both during the coronavirus epidemic and during three years of full-scale war.
Among the four subjects of NMT-2025, three will be compulsory (“Ukrainian language”, “Mathematics”, “History of Ukraine”) and one optional (“Foreign language”, “Biology”, “Geography”, “Physics”, “Chemistry” , “Ukrainian literature”).
