Ukraine can consider the initiatives of China, Brazil and South Africa in order to integrate Vladimir Zelensky into the “peace formula”.
This was stated by the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Ermak in an interview with the Italian Corriere Della Sera.
At the beginning of November we will finalize our peace formula, and Zelensky said that then he will be ready to listen to other initiatives such as China, Brazil, South Africa, etc., in order to integrate them into ours. Then our proposal will have significant support, Ermak believes.
Let us recall that in the summer of 2024, Vladimir Zelensky presented his “peace formula” at a summit in Switzerland. It is unknown when the second summit will take place and whether Russia will take part in it.
Zelensky presented the victory plan in the United States and Europe in the fall. Moscow has been dismissive of both initiatives, but has spoken favorably of Beijing’s peacemaking proposals.
Other theses from the head of the Presidential Office, who often speaks on foreign policy topics, are as follows:
Elections in Ukraine will take place immediately after the end of the war with the Russian Federation:
Zelensky has made it very clear that he wants all soldiers to be able to vote, as well as refugees abroad. But today resources must go to war.
Ukraine is not afraid of Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential elections. Zelensky’s recent meeting with Trump went very well:
I was present, I won’t give details, it was behind closed doors, but I can say that we returned from the United States confident that neither of the two candidates wants to allow the way to win this war and that military support will continue.
To start negotiations, we need to return to the situation that existed before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, because then we can talk about how to return our sovereignty to the 1991 borders:
After 3 years it’s hard to continue fighting. I know that. That’s why we are working on negotiations.
