The retaliatory strike knocked out a key part of Iran’s ballistic missile program. Tehran has previously transferred such missiles to Moscow for attacks on Ukraine.
The Israeli strike on Iran destroyed a critical part of Iran’s ballistic missile program. It will take at least a year to restore it. Axios reported this on Saturday, October 26, citing three sources in Israel.
It was noted that Israel hit 12 “planetary mixers”, which are used to produce solid fuel for long-range ballistic missiles and make up the bulk of Iran’s missile arsenal.
The publication’s sources emphasized that the destruction of the equipment seriously harms Iran’s ability to restore its missile stockpile and could deter Iran from a more widespread missile attack on Israel.
A senior US official also confirmed that the strike had crippled Iran’s missile production capabilities.
It is also reported that the mixers are very complex equipment that Iran cannot produce on its own and must be purchased from China.
According to the publication’s sources, the restoration of the mixers may take at least a year.
We remind you that last night the Israel Defense Forces carried out the long-declared retaliation against Iran. Military targets are attacked; nor are the country’s nuclear or oil facilities attacked. The attack was carried out in two waves. The media are reporting strikes on dozens of strategic military sites in Iran, including missile and drone factories and missile launch bases.
Let’s remember that in the fall it became known that Iran transferred short-range ballistic missiles to Russia for the war against Ukraine.
