The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, denied Putin’s statement about the alleged encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region.
On October 24, the Russian dictator said at a press conference at the BRICS summit that the Russian Armed Forces allegedly surrounded about 2,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters in the Kursk region.
Ukrainian troops continue active operations in the Kursk direction, destroying the enemy’s combat potential for the third month in a row. Despite the fierce pressure of the enemy in this direction, the infidels are suffering significant losses in personnel and military equipment,” Syrsky noted.
He added that losses in this direction, starting from August 8, amount to 17,819 people, including 6,662 irrevocable, 10,446 medical, and 711 prisoners.
