The pace of evacuation from the left bank of the Oskol River in the Kupyansky district is decreasing, despite the tense situation.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov told reporters about this today, October 24, in a commentary to journalists, the Ukrinform agency reports.
On the left bank the situation is very tense. We continue the evacuation. Unfortunately, its pace is somewhat slowing down. Every day we take out from 100 to 150 people,” he noted.
According to Sinegubov, about 2.5 thousand residents remain in the most dangerous areas of the Kupyansky district. Families with children should no longer be there.
However, today we learned that two families remain, in fact, hiding their children from forced evacuation, he noted. “We will work with the National Police and local authorities on these families separately.
The forced evacuation of families with children from the Borovskaya community of the Izyum district should be completed in two weeks, after which a decision may be made to evacuate the entire population.
