This Thursday, the 24th, the final chapter of the saga of Eddie Brock and the comic symbiote Venom, which made its debut through the Spider-Man comics, debuted in Brazilian cinemas. In “Venom: The Last Round”, we will follow the two characters on a frantic escape, where they are hunted by both humans and beings from other planets. As the pressure mounts, Eddie and Venom are forced to fight and make a decision that will mark the end of their partnership together.
According to initial projections (via CNN), the film should gross around 150 million dollars (approximately R$850 million) in its first weekend in theaters. This total is expected to be split between $65 million in the United States and Canada, with the remainder coming from international box offices.
The budget for the third film was 120 million dollars (about R$683 million), not counting advertising and distribution expenses, indicating that forecasts suggest that profits should exceed this amount. Watch the official and dubbed trailer below!
Does ‘Venom: The Last Round’ have post-credits scenes?
Furthermore, even though it closes the arc experienced by ToneHardy“Venom: The Last Round”, features two post-credits scenes, which suggest that the symbiote’s universe has not yet come to an end!
To understand the first of them, it is necessary to have knowledge about the supervillain Knull, ancient ancestral god of darkness and creator of the symbiotes. The director of the film, Kelly Marcelpreviously stated, in an interview with the IGN portal, that this was expected to happen:
We were always aware of Knull, but we knew we needed to lay the groundwork for the Venom character and his relationship with Eddie before introducing him (…)”
The second is more related to comic relief, featuring a character who appears at the beginning of the film.
