In Kyiv, a group of employees of the Goloseevsky RTCC was exposed, who helped more than a thousand men liable for military service to evade mobilization.
The press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General reported this today, October 24.
It is noted that three employees of the Goloseevsky RTCC and the joint venture of Kyiv, the former chairman of the VLK and two civilians were informed of the suspicion.
Depending on what they committed, they were charged with extortion and obtaining unlawful benefits, as well as unauthorized interference in the work of information (automated) and electronic communication networks (Part 3 of Article 368, Part 5 of Article 361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the department said.
According to the investigation, the suspects organized a scheme to extract illegal benefits from men subject to mobilization.
For 8.5 thousand US dollars, they promised to help with registering them with a certain TCC and SP, issue temporary certificates and enter the relevant information into the Unified Register of Military Personnel and Reservists, the Office of the Prosecutor General notes.
Law enforcement officers detained the suspects when they received the second part of the funds in the amount of 4 thousand dollars. USA.
A complex of investigative search actions was carried out, more than 40 searches. As a result, the following was seized:
- more than 1.2 million US dollars and 45 thousand euros in cash;
- mobile phones;
- draft notes;
- stamps and cliches of RTKTs and SP;
- military tickets;
- 11 business class cars costing more than 100 thousand US dollars each.
The issue of taking action against the suspect is currently being decided.
