The head of the Ternopil district transport and communication center was involved in corruption.
The head of the regional territorial center for recruitment and social support demanded from an agricultural entrepreneur an undue benefit for a deferment from conscription for military service. At the same time, the businessman had the legal right to a deferment, therefore, for the first time, he was receiving higher education as a full-time student in one of the educational institutions of the Carpathian region. The DBR reported this on October 24.
The military commissar warned the agrarian that he would receive a certificate of deferment in exchange for coupons for 1 thousand liters of diesel fuel. The cost of fuel is about 1.5 thousand dollars.
The TCC official was detained on October 21 after receiving fuel coupons. In his car they found not only coupons, but also 13 thousand dollars. USA and 73 thousand UAH in cash. Also, fuel cards for more than 1 thousand liters of gasoline and diesel were found in the office of the military commissar. He has already been informed on suspicion of receiving unlawful benefits – Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 10 years.
Let us recall that in September the deputy head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Recruitment Center and two employees of the district TCC were exposed for corruption. Each of the defendants established their own corruption scheme to help individuals wishing to delay or avoid military service.
