Russian troops conducted an airstrike on Kupyansk in the Kharkov region. As a result of the attack, ten people died and ten were injured. Prosecutors of the Kharkov region began a pre-trial investigation into violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This was reported by the press service of the Kharkov Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday, October 24.

According to preliminary data, a 73-year-old woman died. Subsequently, the number of injured rose to ten people. Two other women sought medical help. The exact personal details of the victims are known.
As a result of the shelling, a two-story commercial building, kiosks, and glazing of non-residential buildings located nearby were damaged.
“Prosecutors, together with police investigators, have collected evidence and documented the consequences of another war crime in Russia,” the statement added.
Earlier, OVA reported that Russian troops continue to terrorize civilians and civilian infrastructure in the Kharkov region. In the Kupyansky district, the authorities decided to strengthen evacuation measures.
Recently, the forced evacuation of 269 children from 29 settlements of the Kupyansky district was announced. In the Sumy region, a forced evacuation of 40 thousand people was announced.
