At the time of maximum consumption, a shortage of electricity remains in the energy system, energy workers say.
As of Thursday morning, 532 settlements in Ukraine were completely or partially without power due to fighting and other reasons. Ukrenergo reported this on October 24.
“Due to the conflict, there are new blackouts in the Donetsk and Kharkov regions. For technical reasons, there are blackouts in the Sumy and Zaporozhye regions,” the message said.
According to the company, electricity consumption in Ukraine has stabilized and corresponds to seasonal indicators. At the same time, electrical engineers remind that at times of maximum consumption there remains a shortage of electricity in the energy system. They ask citizens to use powerful electrical appliances during the effective operation of solar power plants – from 10:00 to 16:00.
Today, Ukraine imports electricity from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova with a total volume of 6916 MWh and with a peak power of up to 1287 MW at certain times.
We remind you that the National Security and Defense Council expects large-scale attacks on the Russian energy sector. The enemy may resume the attack at the beginning of the warm-up period.
