The enemy struck the city of Kurakhovo, Donetsk region. As a result of the shelling, the cultural building in which the office of the Maryinsk regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross was located was destroyed. The Ukrainian Red Cross reported this on Facebook on October 23.
As a result of the shelling, technical and material assets were destroyed. Fortunately, no staff or volunteers were injured during the attack.
We categorically condemn violations of international humanitarian law, shelling of civilian objects and humanitarian organizations, the Red Cross said.
Meanwhile, the Donetsk OVA was informed that the invaders shelled Donbass settlements in the Pokrovsky, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut regions 24 times. Four people were killed and six were injured. Russian shelling damaged houses, high-rise buildings, businesses, a kindergarten and a school.
Let us remind you that on September 12, Russian invaders launched an artillery strike on a vehicle with humanitarian aid in Verolubovka, Konstantinovsky community, Donetsk region. Three workers of the International Committee of the Red Cross were killed there, and two more were injured.
