An attack by armed men on the office building of the TUSAŞ aerospace company in Ankara killed five people and wounded more than 20 others. The militants were eliminated. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced this on Wednesday, October 23, Anadolu reports.
“As a result of the terrorist attack on the TUSAŞ site, two terrorists were neutralized, unfortunately, we have five dead and 22 wounded as a result of gunfire. Three victims have been discharged from the hospital, 19 of of them are under treatment,” said the head of the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the minister, two terrorists who carried out the attack were neutralized. One of the terrorists was a woman, Yerlikaya said.
It was also reported that two of the 22 people injured in the attack were in serious condition.
According to the minister, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, which is banned in Turkey, was probably involved in the attack.
Let us remind you that in the afternoon, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that as a result of the terrorist attack in Ankara, four were killed and 14 were injured.
