The intelligence services detained Russian GRU agents who were preparing a terrorist attack in Kyiv.
The Security Service of Ukraine reported on October 23 that the attackers were supposed to prepare an improvised explosive device and detonate it in one of the crowded places in the capital. The goal was to maximize civilian deaths to spread panic.
Before committing the terrorist attack, both defendants, a 20-year-old resident of Zaporozhye and her 26-year-old partner, had to carry out a “control” task of the Russian special service: to set fire to several units of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region.
A 20-year-old resident of Zaporozhye was looking for “easy” earnings in TG channels. She received detailed instructions from the occupiers on how to make an explosive device from two phones, to which she had to connect a detonator with plastid (it had to be taken from a disguised cache).
However, the SBU caught the traitors in the act when they tried to set fire to an infantry fighting vehicle that was carrying out missions on the southern front.
