The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, during the negotiations with the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, said that the war between Russia and Ukraine should end peacefully. Their meeting took place within the framework of the BRICS summit in Kazan, reports RosSMI.
“Regarding the continuation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine: we are in regular contact. As I said before, we believe that the problems should be solved peacefully, and we fully support the early establishment of peace and stability. In all our efforts, we give priority to humanity, and we are ready to provide any possible assistance in future,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister also thanked Putin for his hospitality, adding that India has deep historical ties with Kazan.
It was earlier reported that India has returned 85 of its citizens who served in the Russian army.
