Ukraine’s air defense repelled a massive raid by Russian UAVs at night.
On the night of October 22, the enemy attacked Ukraine with Shahed-type attack drones and drones of an unidentified type. The enemy launched 60 UAVs from the Russian Kursk, Yeisk and Primorsko-Akhtarsky. The air attack is repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine. This was reported on Telegram.
We managed to shoot down 42 Shaheds. They were landed in Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Cherkassy, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kyiv, Kherson and Kharkov regions. Most of the drones were destroyed in the Sumy region, but there were dead and injured.
Also, 10 enemy UAVs were locally lost. One Shahed flew to Belarus, and three more flew back to Russia. One drone is still in Ukrainian airspace.
Let us remind you that the Russian occupiers hit Sumy with “Shaheds” – three people were killed, including a child. The blow hit the private residential sector of the city, houses were damaged.
