South Korean intelligence NIS has released details of which soldiers the DPRK sent to the war against Ukraine.
This was reported by Bild.
It is noted that:
- already on the eve of Sergei Shoigu’s visit to Pyongyang, from September 8 to 13, 1,500 North Korean soldiers were transported to the Russian Federation. The satellites discovered four landing ships and three frigates of the Russian Pacific Fleet, on which they arrived from the ports of Chongjin and Hamhin to Vladivostok;
- then the number of flights of Russian AN-124 military transport aircraft between Vladivostok and Pyongyang began to increase. Apparently they were also transporting fighters. At least 400 of them are training in barracks near Khabarovsk. According to South Korean intelligence, they were given fake documents and Russian passports, and were also disguised as Buryats and Yakuts.
On October 5, Kim Jong-un visited a special unit in the Western District of the Korean People’s Army.
It is considered one of the most brutal in the world. These guards guarded the father of dictator Kim Jong Il. In front of their son’s eyes, they smashed concrete slabs placed on the bodies of their comrades with their fists, arms and iron hammers, the publication notes.
BILD columnist Peter Thiede calls them “battle slaves” because they were raised in an information vacuum without external influence (no Internet, no Western television, no mobile phones).
Future soldiers were indoctrinated, preparing to destroy the “NATO devils” and the enemies of the “beloved leader.” Obviously, they were also sent to the war in Ukraine, the publication notes.
