Zaporozhye NPP was again on the verge of blackout.
This happened at noon on Monday, October 21, the Ministry of Energy reported.
At 12.18, due to systematic enemy shelling, one of the two power lines connecting the temporarily occupied Zaporozhye nuclear power plant with the unified energy system of Ukraine was switched off.
Currently, the station is powered by only one power line.
The supply of external power to the station, which is necessary for safe operation, is again at risk. If the station is disconnected from external power, another complete blackout will occur at the Zaporozhye NPP, creating a threat to radiation safety, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy said in a statement.
