Ukrainian defense forces attacked an airfield and a military plant on the territory of the Russian Federation.
On the night of October 20, the infrastructure of the Lipetsk-2 military airfield in the Lipetsk region was hit by fire. The UAVs were aimed at ammunition depots, fuel and lubricant storage areas, and aircraft equipment. Su-34, Su-35 and MiG-31 aircraft of the enemy Aerospace Forces are based at this airport. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
Ukrainian defenders also hit the federal government enterprise “Plant im. E.M. Sverdlov” in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation. This plant produces chemicals for artillery ammunition and high-explosive bombs. Guided aerial bombs were also stored on the territory of the enterprise.
The General Staff notes that numerous explosions were recorded in the areas of both objects, and active work of enemy air defense was also noted. The results of the defeat are being clarified.
The combat mission was carried out by the forces and means of the SBU, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces.
Let us recall that earlier the media reported that on the night of October 20, Ukrainian drones hit the Sverdlov plant in Dzerzhinsk, where they produce artillery shells, warheads, warheads of cumulative anti-tank guided missiles, warheads for air defense missile systems and aerial bombs.
