Belgium, Norway, the Netherlands and Denmark have joined the important agreement, said Rustem Umerov.
Ukraine and Germany signed an agreement on immediate actions to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this on Facebook on Saturday, October 19.
“At a meeting of the G7 defense ministers, we signed an important agreement with Germany on immediate action to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense system,” he wrote.
According to the minister, the agreement provides arrangements in which the signatory countries will contribute to joint projects or finance their own projects aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the Ukrainian air defense.
In addition to Ukraine, five more signatory countries will join the project: Germany, Belgium, Norway, the Netherlands and Denmark.
Umerov thanked Germany for the initiative, as well as all participating countries for their strong contribution to Ukraine’s security.
We remind you that this week it became known that Germany transferred two air defense systems to Ukraine – medium-range IRIS-T SLM and short-range IRIS-T SLS.
As you know, Russian aggressors attack Ukraine every day with successful drones and almost every day with missiles. Tonight, the air defense shot down four air missiles by 42 UAVs. Another 46 drones were influenced by electronic warfare
