The head of the Kremlin believes that Ukraine can not secretly produce nuclear weapons, although it is “not difficult in the modern world.”
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin called the speculation about Ukraine’s possible creation of nuclear weapons a provocation and said that any step in this direction would “provide a response.” He said this at a meeting with media representatives of BRICS member countries, Russian media reported on Friday, October 18.
“This is another provocation. It is not difficult to make nuclear weapons in the modern world, great difficulty here,” he admitted.
According to the head of the Kremlin, “such a threat is noticeable enough, Russia will not allow it under any circumstances.”
“Any step in this direction will be met with a response… It is impossible to hide… We can monitor any movement in this direction,” Putin assured.
Let’s remember that on October 17, the tabloid Bild wrote that the Ukrainian authorities seem to be “seriously thinking” about restoring nuclear weapons.
On the same day, President Vladimir Zelensky denied that Ukraine was preparing to create nuclear weapons.
And the Foreign Ministry called media reports about Ukraine’s alleged plans to develop nuclear weapons “innuendo.”
