An unknown target flew over Romanian territory at night. For surveillance, four aircraft were brought into the air – two Romanian F-16 and two Spanish F-18.
An unidentified air target flew over Romania on the night of October 19. Fighters took to the sky as the target headed towards the state border. This was reported by the press service of the Romanian Ministry of Defense.
It was noted that at about 02:30, the radars detected a “small air target” in the Black Sea area. For surveillance, four aircraft were brought into the air – two Romanian F-16 and two Spanish F-18.
Also, the radar signal indicated a violation of the Romanian state border at about 4:00 in the area of Gura-Porticei. It is an area north of the large port city of Constanta.
The target was reported to have flown 19 km away. The warriors do not see him. The target disappeared from radar south of Kojalak at approximately 04:30. The air raid alert was canceled at 5:10.
The Romanian Ministry of Defense has ordered an investigation into the area where the object may have fallen.
