Kamala Harris, a candidate from the US Democratic Party, gave an interview to the Republican-friendly Fox News channel.
Harris tried to reach Republican voters in an interview with a conservative television channel. But the conversation with Bret Baier turned out to be quite tense.
In particular, Harris repeatedly asked him to let her finish her answer when the host interrupted her and asked more questions.
Unlike other interviews, here the vice president was asked more pointed questions. Basically, on the topic that it is Harris and Biden who are responsible for the problems that have developed in the United States in recent years.
Kamala responded by saying that she “will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency.”
My presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s, and like every new president who takes office, I will bring my life experience, my professional experience, and new and different ideas. “I represent a new generation of leaders,” Harris responded.
The presenter objected to her:
You’ve been vice president for three and a half years, so what makes you turn the page?” (referring to Harris’s campaign slogan for turning the page).
The vice president responded that we need to “turn the page on the last decade, during which we were burdened with rhetoric originating from Donald Trump.”
Trump campaign officials called Harris’ interview with Fox News a disaster.
Kamala was angry, defensive and again denied any responsibility for the problems facing Americans, Trump spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said.
Democratic-leaning CNN called the interview a “heated battle” as Harris “ventured into the den of conservative media.”
