On the night of October 17, Russian troops launched 56 attack drones and unknown aircraft of an unknown type across Ukraine (launch sites – Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk). The enemy also launched a strike using the X-59 guided missile from the airspace of the Kursk region. This was reported by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It was noted that five hits were recorded on infrastructure facilities in front-line areas.
Air defense forces destroyed 22 enemy drones. The air defense is operated in the regions of Sumy, Kyiv, Poltava, Chernigov, Zhitomir, Nikolaev, Cherkassy, Odessa and Ternopil.
