China’s so-called neutral position in relation to Russia’s aggression in Ukraine is just an appearance, they believe in the United States.
The PRC is not a neutral country, but made its choice in favor of Moscow, which began a military invasion of the territory of Ukraine. Julian Smith, diplomat and US permanent representative to NATO, said this on Wednesday, October 16.
He stressed that the PRC’s official statements contradicted the facts, indicating support for the war.
“The PRC is trying to convince the world that it remains neutral in relation to the Russian war in Ukraine. But in fact, the PRC made a choice. It tipped the scales with its thumb in support of Russia in its war in Ukraine and provides the Russians with a long list of dual appointment components that allow continued attacks on Ukrainian civilians and military,” the diplomat said.
He said neither the United States nor “all our friends, allies and partners around the world” were misled by China’s claims. Therefore, the United States and other partners “continue to urge China to stop supporting what Russia is doing in Ukraine.”
A similar “concern” in the United States, according to an American official, is caused by the position of North Korea, which does not even hide the fact that it is on the side of the invaders.
“Similarly, we are concerned that we are seeing evidence of missiles, ammunition – thousands of cargo containers full of ammunition being supplied to Russia from the DPRK. In turn, we will continue to pursue businesses and anyone person involved in the transfer of such goods from the DPRK to the Russian Federation,” and We will use all forces and tools at our disposal to complete this transit,” said Julian Smith.
Let’s remember that China is giving Russia “very significant” help to strengthen the Kremlin’s military machine in exchange for secret Russian military technologies of submarines and missiles.
