The man prompted a resident of Lublin Voivodeship to send photos of military equipment headed for Ukraine.
The Lublin District Court sentenced a 26-year-old Ukrainian citizen to nearly three years in prison for inciting espionage for the Russian intelligence services. Wprost wrote this on Wednesday, October 16.
The Ukrainian was detained in Poland in March. He was charged with inciting espionage and making criminal threats against a Polish citizen.
The man is accused of inciting a resident of the Lublin region to act in favor of foreign intelligence and convincing him to send photos of military equipment headed for Ukraine. In return, the Ukrainian offered a reward of 15 thousand euros.
The Lublin court handed down the sentence on September 27. The man was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison.
Let’s remember that last year in Poland a network of Ukrainians, Russians and Belarusians recruited by the Russian intelligence services was exposed.
