Adriana Brownlee conquered 14 of the planet’s highest mountains in three years, becoming the youngest woman to reach this summit in mountaineering.
Briton Adriana Brownlee has become the youngest woman to conquer all 14 eight-thousand-meter peaks in the world, The Guardian reports.
His path to this record lasted three years, during which he climbed the highest mountain on the planet, located in the Himalayas and Karakoram.
Brownlee, who hails from London, dreamed of becoming a mountaineer since childhood. At the age of eight, he wrote in a school assignment that he wanted to conquer the highest mountain in the world. To realize this dream, Adriana leaves the university and chooses mountaineering, even sacrificing personal relationships.
His first major achievement was climbing Everest, 8848 meters high. The last peak he conquered on October 9 was Shisha Pangma (8027 meters) – the lowest of the eight thousand.
Brownlee also conquered K2, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and other famous peaks. He admitted that climbing Shisha Pangma without supplemental oxygen was the most difficult and memorable for him.
Adriana describes mountaineering as her “escape from life,” giving her a sense of freedom and satisfaction. Now he dreams of helping other climbers on their climbs.
To date, less than 100 people have climbed all 14 of the world’s highest mountains.
Earlier it was reported that a resident of Vorzel in the Kiev region conquered Everest.
