NATO’s new headquarters in Ukraine will affect the situation on the battlefield, the Alliance Secretary General said.
The new NATO headquarters in Germany will mean a change for Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield. In particular, he will coordinate military assistance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was said by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, reports the press service of the Alliance.
Rutte visited for the first time the headquarters of the NATO Security Assistance and Training Command for Ukraine (NSATU) in Wiesbaden, Germany. There he met with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
The Secretary General emphasized that the new command will have real importance for Ukraine on the battlefield and “for our security.”
NSATU is planned to coordinate the provision of equipment to Ukraine from NATO allies, as well as the training of Ukrainian defenders. In particular, the supply of artillery, ammunition and air defense systems will be coordinated.
