The agency denied Western media claims about the alleged supply of drones to rebels in Mali.
Ukraine has strongly denied accusations of alleged state involvement in the supply of drones to rebels in Mali. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Monday, October 14.
The department also categorically rejects all accusations periodically heard from high officials of Mali and Niger of Ukraine’s alleged involvement in “collaboration with terrorists,” “providing weapons to terrorists and providing them with information,” and “Ukraine’s support for the terrorist coalition.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also rejects all accusations against Ukraine of alleged state involvement in the fact that weapons and military equipment supplied to Ukraine by its allies to counter Russian aggression end up in the Sahel region .
“From the first months of Russia’s massive invasion, Ukraine was the first to initiate the introduction of an extensive system of monitoring and control of weapons provided by Western partners. In addition to international, state and departmental mechanisms for in monitoring the use of Western weapons, parliamentary control in this area was also introduced in Ukraine,” the statement of the department.
The Foreign Ministry recalled that more than two and a half years of the Russian invasion, Western partners have not found a single case of misuse of weapons and military equipment provided to Ukraine.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for an end to the dissemination of false information that repeats Russian propaganda narratives aimed at discrediting Ukraine and justifying Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Let’s recall that the French publication Le Monde reported that the Tuareg rebels in northern Mali are allegedly actively using Ukrainian drones in the fight against the Malian army and its Russian allies from the Wagner PMC.
