More than 10 thousand residents of Mariupol are in the prisons of the so -called “Donetsk People’s Republic”. This was announced by the Mariupol City Council in the Telegram.
“Peaceful civilians were detained by the occupiers and sent to areas deprived of freedom. There are four prisons known: two in Olenivka, Donetsk pre-trial detention center and Makeyevka. People are in horrible and inhumane conditions, such as in a concentration camp. Closed in crowded cells 2 by 3 meters for 10 people, “the message said.
According to the Mariupol City Council, people receive almost no water and food, they are not taken outside, they have no access to normal medical care, and they undergo various forms of torture, from psychological to physically. In such conditions, the peaceful residents of Mariupol are forced to live.
That is why Mariupol Mayor Vadim Boychenko called on the International Red Cross and the UN to pay attention to the illegal detention of civilians in the city and use all possible tools to obtain lists of prisoners and work together to free every citizen of Mariupol. And also to ensure that before that people will get decent living conditions.
Recall that in Mariupol, the Russian occupiers began to build a medical complex for 60 people, an important part of which was reserved for the morgue.
Earlier it was reported that in occupied Mariupol, the Russians were building fortifications under the guise of residential buildings.
