The head of state emphasized that under these circumstances, Ukraine’s relations with its partners need development, and the front needs more support.
Russia is increasing its alliance with North Korea, and we are talking not only about the transfer of weapons, but actually about the transfer of North Korean citizens to the military forces of the Russian Federation. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on Sunday, October 13, in an evening speech.
“This is no longer just about the transfer of weapons. It is about the transfer of people from North Korea to the occupying military forces,” the president said.
Zelensky emphasized that in these conditions, Ukraine’s relations with partners need development, and the front needs more support.
“When we talk about a wider range for Ukraine and more decisive supplies for our forces, it’s not just a list of military means. It’s about increasing the pressure on the aggressor, who will be stronger for Russia than they can withstand,” the head of state added.
He emphasized that “true peace can only be achieved through strength,” and said that the entire next week will be devoted to working with partners – for the sake of such strength and true peace.
We remind you that The Washington Post reported that thousands of North Korean military personnel are training in Russia. We are talking about several thousand North Korean infantrymen who could be on the front line by the end of this year.
Earlier, South Korea called the DPRK’s military deployment to Ukraine “likely.” And the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andrei Kovalenko, noted that Pyongyang has already sent a limited number of its military, mainly engineers, to Ukraine.
