The Ukrainian command showed training for mobilized convicts.
Former prisoners who decide to join servicemen from the Shkval unit of the 35th Marine Brigade from Odessa undergo training at one of the training grounds. One of the final stages is the assault on the trenches. The Ukrainian Rooster Defense Forces reported this on October 12 in Telegram.
It is noted that former prisoners automatically practice the algorithm of actions directly during fire contact with a mock enemy.
According to the instructors, these trainings are extremely important, because in the near future the mobilized will meet the enemy.
Let us recall that in 2024, a law was passed in Ukraine allowing the voluntary mobilization of prisoners. The document has already entered into force.
The Ministry of Justice predicted that at least 4 thousand convicted men would agree to become volunteers during the first stage of recruitment. For now, convicts will serve only in assault units, which are entirely composed of former prisoners.
