India has increased supplies of sanctioned goods to the Russian Federation.
The country has become Russia’s second-largest supplier of critical technology after China amid restrictions. In April-May, exports of sanctioned goods, such as microcircuits and machine tools, from India to the Russian Federation exceeded $60 million. This is approximately twice as much as in previous months of this year. This was reported by Bloomberg with reference to US and European officials.
It is also noted that in July exports jumped to $95 million, second only to China in volume. Now the aggressor country receives one-fifth of the secret technology for its “defense” through India.
The authors of the article indicate that Indian officials practically do not respond to the question of Russian assistance in response to requests from ambassadors of Western countries. Due to India’s role as a transit country for sanctioned goods traveling to the Russian Federation, officials from the European Union and the United States have visited there several times in recent months.
Let us recall that on August 23, Ukraine and India agreed on four documents on cooperation. These agreements cover medicine, agriculture, humanitarian aid and culture. In addition, a joint statement has been prepared on the development of strategic partnership, trade and military-technical cooperation.
