Alexander Lukashenko apparently agreed with Rosneft to seriously “hold” the territories of the Gomel region.
The formal leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, wants to find oil deposits in the country. He said this at the Dozhinki-2024 festival-fair in the village of Korma, Gomel region, his press service reported on Saturday, October 12.
“We agree with the head of Rosneft (Igor Sechin – ed.) that we take the territory of the Gomel region seriously And we will definitely find oil there during the Soviet era, the wells were drilled and abandoned.
Lukashenko assured that “we will use this money for the development of our Gomel region.”
Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko cynically said that he intended to “return Ukraine.” He advised the Ukrainian leadership to “take their heads in their hands” and pay attention to the “nearby people” and not to the Americans.
Lukashenko also said that someone seems to be inviting him to “spit on Russia” and side with Ukraine.
