An oil tanker caught fire in the Baltic Sea and the entire crew was evacuated. Bild reported this on Friday, October 11.

In the morning, an explosion occurred on the 73-meter German tanker Annika, followed by a thick cloud of smoke. Seven crew members were evacuated from the tanker using a special rescue ship.

The ship, carrying several hundred tons of heavy fuel oil, was located near the German city of Kühlungsborn. Rescue cruisers are trying to extinguish the fire on the tanker. Several helicopters were also involved in the operation.
