Biden accused Trump of lying about the hurricane response

US President Joe Biden warned former President Donald Trump against spreading lies about the government’s response to devastating hurricanes and advised his predecessor to “get busy with life.” AP reported this on Thursday, October 10.

Biden said Trump was lying and explained that the $750 was emergency aid that would cover immediate needs like food, diapers and baby formula.

“This $750 they’re talking about, Mr. Trump and all these people know it’s a lie – an assumption that’s all they’re going to get. It’s just amazing. They’ve got to stop it. They’re so un-American, – talk about it,” Biden said.

Asked if he planned to talk to Trump to convince him to stop, Biden said he wouldn’t, but then delivered a message directly to the cameras: “Mr. President Trump, former President Trump, live, man. Help these people .”

Remember that Hurricane Milton hit the coast of the US state of Florida on Thursday, leaving a trail of destruction. The disaster spawned a tornado, claimed at least 10 lives and left millions of people without power.

The storm hit the west coast of Florida on Wednesday night as a Category 3 hurricane at scale five with maximum sustained winds of 205 km/h. Although it remained dangerous, Milton weakened after passing through the Gulf of Mexico.
