The Russian intelligence service recruited the 30-year-old from Odessa through telegrams, where he was looking for quick money.
First, the defendant completed a “test task” of the enemy, and then in August 2024, at the direction of the Russian curator, he entered military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Security Service documented every step of the traitor’s subversive activities and caught him red-handed as he prepared to send secret coordinates to the Russians.
As the investigation established, the enemy’s priority targets were training centers and points of permanent deployment of air defense forces, where their “mole” had settled. The traitor himself planned to hide outside the military unit at the time of the attack.
During the searches, the agent was found to have a mobile phone with evidence of working for the enemy.
He was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (state treason committed under martial law) and arrested.
