Ukraine confiscated the USKO MFU ship for illegally sailing to the ports of occupied Crimea.
This dry cargo ship, flying the flag of Cameroon, “illegally entered the ports of temporarily occupied Crimea to carry out commercial activities,” was detained in the Odessa region in July of this year. The State Border Service of Ukraine announced this on October 9 in Telegram.
The ship was transferred to the ownership of Ukraine by court decision. The captain of the cargo ship is accused of violating the rules of entry into the occupied territories with the aim of causing harm to state interests.
The State Tax Service noted that any operations in the ports of Crimea or the Sea of Azov violate international norms and Ukrainian legislation.
Let us recall that in September the High Anti-Corruption Court confiscated the assets of the Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov. Iron ore products in the amount of more than 165 thousand tons were recovered from Ukraine’s income. Its estimated value is more than UAH 2 billion. 100% of the authorized capital of Peter-Service Ukraine LLC was also confiscated.
