Israeli air forces attacked the Syrian capital Damascus. It took place in Mezzeh district, where the Iranian embassy is located, and there were dead and wounded. The Syrian Center for Monitoring Human Rights wrote about this on Tuesday, October 8.
“Israel struck a building in Damascus visited by officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC),” the report said.
It was indicated that at least four people were killed. More than ten people were injured.
In this regard, The Times of Israel wrote that the target of the airstrike was a high official of the Hezbollah terrorist group from Unit 4400, which was involved in the delivery of weapons from Iran to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
“The attack hit a residential building in the Mezzeh area of Damascus, a few hundred meters from the Iranian Embassy. This building is associated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps,” the report said.
Earlier, Israel allegedly attacked Russia’s Khmeimim airbase in Syria. The target of the attack could be weapons intended for the Hezbollah movement.
Syrian state television Ortas journalist Safaa Ahmad was killed in an attack in Damascus.
