The restrictions apply to 90 individuals and four legal entities, as well as 57 businesses that help Russia fight the war.
President Vladimir Zelensky introduced two packages of NSDC sanctions against traitors in Ukraine and military production in Russia on Tuesday, October 8. This was confirmed by an evening video message from the head of state.
“Today, two new packages of sanctions have been applied in relation to traitors in Ukraine, who are also related to military production in Russia – legal entities and individuals who work for terrorism,” said the head of the country.
He added that the Ukrainian sanctions and pressure on the enemy “we will continue to do together with all the people of the world who, like the Ukrainians, want real peace.”
Decree No. 698 imposed sanctions against 90 individuals and four legal entities.
Decree No. 697 initiated sanctions against 57 enterprises that aid in Russian military production, including a Chinese company.
Let’s recall that the Council of the European Union approved a new regime of sanctions against Russia’s destabilizing actions abroad.
Let’s add that the EU initially planned to introduce a general sanctions regime, but ultimately decided to focus on hybrid threats from the Russian Federation. There are no specific names on the sanctions list yet, but they are planned to be added in the future.
