Polish farmers announced a protest on the border with Ukraine.
On Tuesday, October 8, Polish farmers intend to resume the blockade of cargo movement across the Ukrainian border. The first blockade near the Medika-Shegini checkpoint may continue until December 31. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
Ukrainian customs officers have already received information from the Polish side about the plans of local farmers. Currently, vehicle registration is carried out as usual. The State Customs Service will provide additional information if a strike begins.
The action was announced by one of the main organizers of the protests of Polish farmers, Rafal Mekler. On the social network X, he informed that “the work in the field is over and you can fight for yours.” The time frame for blocking the border is called October 8 to December 31.
Let us recall that the previous blockade of Polish farmers lasted throughout the cold season and ended at the end of April 2024. Then the farmers of the neighboring country lifted the last blockade at the Grebnoye – Rava-Russkaya checkpoint.
