Italy will buy EA-37B aircraft equipped with an electronic warfare system from the United States. The decision to sell was made by the US State Department, the Pentagon Security Cooperation Agency reports.
It was noted that Italy has made a request to purchase aircraft with the EA-37B electronic warfare system, as well as related equipment.
Additionally, the program includes support, training, spare parts, maintenance and documentation. The amount of each share was not disclosed. The estimated total cost is $680 million.
It can be recalled that the US State Department approved the sale of spare parts for combat aircraft to Taiwan worth approximately $228 million.
