Israel is the largest recipient of American military aid in history, according to Brown University analysts.
The US has spent at least $17.9 billion on military aid to Israel since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. This is stated in the Costs of War report from the American Brown University.
Another $4.86 billion is dedicated to bolster US military operations in the region following the attack on October 7, 2023. This includes funds allocated to a US Navy-led campaign to suppress commercial attacks sending Yemen’s Hamas-backed Houthis.
Israel is the largest recipient of American military aid in history, with the United States giving it $251.2 billion, adjusted for inflation, since 1959.
The $17.9 billion spent since October 7, 2023 is the most military aid given to Israel in a single year.
However, the announced amount is only part of the financial support currently provided by the United States. Contrary to the public declaration of military aid to Ukraine, it has been impossible to get information about what supplies the United States has given to Israel since October 7 last year.
We remind you that US presidential candidate Kamala Harris said that in order to end the conflict in the Middle East, the United States will put pressure on all its participants, including Israel.
