Ukraine won bronze at the Futsal World Championship for the first time in history.
On Sunday, October 6, the Ukrainian futsal team won bronze medals at the 2024 World Championship, which ends in Tashkent. In the match for third place, the Ukrainians defeated the French team. The Ukrainian Football Association reported this on Telegram.
In the first half there was an equal fight, but in the 10th minute Igor Chernyavsky found a gap in the French defense and opened the scoring. In the second half, the Ukrainians dominated and scored the second goal, but over time they themselves conceded.
After conceding, the “blue-yellows” went ahead again and made the score devastating – 7:1.
Thus, for the first time in history, the Ukrainian futsal team won bronze medals at the World Championships.
