Over the weekend, there were glitches in Poland’s customs database, causing almost all border checkpoints to temporarily stop working.
The Spokesman of the State Border Guard Service Andrey Demchenko said that currently all checkpoints on the border of Ukraine with Poland ensure proper checkpoint operations. He said this on the telethon.
According to him, the pass is now happening as usual. Over the weekend, there were malfunctions in the database of the customs service of the Republic of Poland, which is why almost all checkpoints at the Polish border temporarily stopped their work, since it was impossible to fully ensure clearance on the other side of the border.
“The explanation was carried out to the people. Of course, the border guards asked everyone to wait so that people do not create any kind of panic, why exactly the entry operations are not carried out. But for now, all checkpoints on the Polish border provide proper access operations both for exit from Ukraine and for entry,” said Demchenko.
He added that the total passenger traffic has not yet increased. Also, on weekdays, up to 100 thousand people cross the border, and on weekends the number of people who want to cross the border can change to 110 thousand.
“The largest number of checkpoint operations, it is about 50% of the total passenger traffic, occurs exactly at the Polish border. ” said the spokesperson.
Earlier, at the Orlovka checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Romanian border, checkpoint operations were temporarily suspended due to the Russian attack.
It was also reported that the work of the Palanca-Mayaki-Udobnoe checkpoint on the border with Moldova was temporarily suspended for technical reasons.
