Half of the drones will be developed in the Netherlands, and the rest will be made in Ukraine and other countries.
The Netherlands will allocate 400 million euros for the development and production of drones together with Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Ruben Brekelmans during a visit to Kharkov, NOS reports.
The minister noted that half of the drones will be developed in the Netherlands, and the rest will be made in Ukraine and other countries.
Brekelmans recalled that the Netherlands played a “leading role” in supplying Ukraine with F-16 aircraft and Patriot systems.
“We are continuing this now with modern drones,” he added.
According to the minister, these drones can be used for different purposes: reconnaissance, defense and attack. Especially in the air, as well as on land and sea.
As Brekelmans emphasized, if the developed drones are successful, additional funds will be allocated to expand production.
We remind you that the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Brekelmans, who was appointed this summer, came to Kharkov and visited one of the multi-storey residential buildings destroyed by Russian strikes in the city.
Earlier, the Netherlands announced the allocation of 209.5 million euros to Ukraine for the restoration of critical infrastructure.
