Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate in the current US elections, has promised that the US will “reach Mars” before the end of his second term if he is re-elected.
He stated this while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he had previously been assassinated, SkyNews reports.
The corresponding statement was made when the famous American billionaire Elon Musk, founder of the aerospace company SpaceX, came out for a short speech at this rally. Musk said Trump should win the election because his rivals are allegedly trying to take away people’s freedom of speech.
Trump, for his part, presented Musk as a “great gentleman” who “protected free speech” and SpaceX as the only reason why the United States can send its astronauts into space.
Also during the rally, Trump promised, if he wins, to halve energy prices, significantly reduce taxes, and “no men in women’s sports.”
