Army raids have focused on militant gathering places in villages in southern Lebanon, where large caches of weapons have been discovered.

Since the start of the ground operation in southern Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces have eliminated more than 400 Hezbollah militants. The Times of Israel reported this on Saturday, October 5.

The militants, including several field commanders, were killed in both airstrikes and ground fighting, according to the Israeli military.

According to the IDF, the army’s raids focused on concentrations of Hezbollah militants in villages in southern Lebanon, where large caches of weapons have been discovered.

The IDF said operations in southern Lebanon would expand if necessary, but the army plans to end them as soon as possible – within weeks.

We remind you that on the night of September 30, the Israeli military launched a ground attack in Lebanon, hitting the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut.

Israel also reported its first military death during the operation in Lebanon.
